Distribution of Telecommunication Products (DTP) emerged as one of the branches of Marvel Group of Companies’ activities in 1996 after the first distributor agreement with Ericsson Mobile Communications AB, a Swedish manufacturer of mobile phones, was signed. From the moment of its foundation to this day the Company’s goal has been to promote official products certified for the Russian market.

From 1996 to 2004 placing its emphasis on product quality Marvel Company signed distributor agreements with the main manufacturers of mobile phones: Alcatel, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sony Ericsson.

Department’s sales geography is extremely broad, extending from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad . Today, over 500 companies from various regions of Russia partner with Marvel. Our Company also maintains business relations with the essential GSM standard operators. Marvel Company supplies all necessary advertising materials for its dealers, and organizes advertising campaigns and PR-actions for dealers and, ultimately, for consumers. Promotion and advertising campaign materials can be developed either independently or in collaboration with the manufacturers.

In 2004, the Department expanded its business scope with the opening of new product lines – distribution of personal digital assistants (PDA) and digital cameras. Marvel again was the 1 st in Russia to start promotion of pocket PCs through mobile communications shops. Thus, we can now offer our partners products from the world’s leading manufactures, Hewlett-Packard and PalmOne. Besides, mobile communications stores’ sales managers are regularly trained, all the necessary product brochures are published and a free hot line of service support is provided.

For the digital cameras distribution we signed official agreements with key-manufacturers: Sony, Pentax and Canon. For further development of this business line, a program of dealer complex support was launched, including an Internet-site at http://dc.marvel.ru.
